In 1938 Paris, the Conservatory of Dramatic Art admits a few after exams, among them Isabelle. She joins Professor Lambertin’s class with François and Cécilia. François loves Isabelle, who reciprocates, while Cécilia, his lover, also pursues her. They believe life is a performance, echoing “put art in your life and life in your art.”
