Tamara Riley is a shy and seemingly unattractive girl with a sharp intellect who has a deep fascination with witchcraft and a crush on her charming English teacher, Bill Natolly. After she publishes a scathing article about the school’s star athletes, Shawn and Patrick seek revenge. In an attempt to bind her fate to Bill, Tamara begins an ancient ritual; however, she halts the process when it requires her to spill her own blood.

That very night, a cruel prank is devised by Shawn and Patrick, along with Shawn’s girlfriend, Kisha. Shawn, pretending to be Mr. Natolly, invites Tamara to a motel room where they set up a camera to capture her undressing. Unbeknownst to them, Kisha, along with Chloe, Jesse, and Roger, joins in on the viewing. When Shawn confronts Tamara in the room, a scuffle ensues, leading to her tragic death. Despite Chloe’s insistence on contacting the authorities, she is intimidated into helping conceal Tamara’s body.

Surprisingly, the following day, Tamara walks into class, alive and looking more stunning than ever—a shocking transformation that leaves her tormentors bewildered. They convince themselves that she must have been unconscious and dug herself out. As night falls, Roger, while watching a movie in the school AV room, unwittingly triggers the footage of Tamara, leading to a terrifying encounter. Tormented by Tamara’s fury, he suffers hallucinations of being buried alive, ultimately leading him to broadcast a chilling message to the school, followed by a horrifying act of self-harm that ends his life.

Next, Tamara plots to seduce Mr. Natolly but is met with resistance, prompting her to declare ominously that “it is only a matter of time.” She subsequently confronts the school guidance counselor, Allison Natolly, and reveals personal secrets that lead to chaos in her family. Driven by despair over her father’s issues, Tamara pushes him to his limits, resulting in a bizarre and violent scene involving a beer bottle.

At a party, Tamara uses her powers to manipulate Patrick and Shawn, forcing them into a disturbing encounter that echoes Shawn’s past transgressions against girls. Kisha tries to intervene but falls prey to Tamara’s cruel remarks about her eating disorder, spiraling her into a binge. When Chloe and Jesse inform Mr. Natolly about the events, Kisha, still under Tamara’s influence, unintentionally reveals their plans. Frightened by the unfolding events, the trio embarks on a journey to Tamara’s home, where they discover her father’s corpse and the spellbook detailing the ritual Tamara attempted. They soon realize that the act of spilling her blood during the initial ritual is what resurrected her as a powerful entity.

As the tensions rise, Tamara orchestrates the demise of Shawn and Patrick through mind control, leading to an intense confrontation with Allison, the result of which sees her fighting for her life. Amidst the turmoil, Kisha, now awake, seeks revenge against Jesse and Chloe, which ends tragically for Jesse.

In an intense climax, Tamara takes control of a security guard, cornering Mr. Natolly, Allison, and Chloe on the hospital rooftop. In a gripping confrontation between Tamara and Chloe, the raw innocence of Chloe prevents Tamara from exerting her control any longer, resulting in Tamara’s heartbreaking transformation back into a corpse. As the inevitable fate draws near, Mr. Natolly embraces Tamara, ultimately leading to both of them plunging off the rooftop in a tragic yet poignant moment.

In the final scene, it’s shown that Chloe and Allison survive, but Kisha, who remains under Tamara’s spell, takes the spellbook, hinting at an ominous future. The intertwining of love, revenge, and dark magic renders a haunting narrative that leaves viewers questioning the consequences of their actions.
