Jen, portrayed by Matilda Lutz, is a wealthy American socialite secretly involved with French millionaire Richard, played by Kevin Janssens. The couple escapes to Richard’s remote desert villa in Morocco for a weekend retreat before he departs for his annual hunting trip alongside his friends Stan and Dimitri. While there, Richard’s helicopter pilot, Roberto, gifts him some peyote, setting the tone for a wild weekend. However, their plans are disrupted when Stan and Dimitri arrive early, much to Richard’s chagrin as he had intended to keep Jen a secret from them.
As the night unfolds, the four of them share drinks and dance, with Jen slyly concealing the peyote in her necklace, but the next morning takes a dark turn. While Richard is away, Stan attempts to coerce Jen into an unwanted sexual encounter, asserting she had flirted with him the night before. When she rebuffs his advances, he tragically rapes her, while Dimitri looks on apathetically. Enraged, Richard returns to confront Stan and tries to placate Jen with money to erase the traumatic incident. When Jen refuses to comply and flees into the desert, Richard, in a shocking betrayal, pretends to arrange for her evacuation but pushes her off a cliff, leaving her to be impaled on a tree.
Miraculously, Jen awakens, utilizing her lighter to ignite the tree, ultimately breaking free and escaping with a branch still protruding from her body. She navigates the desert, evading Richard and his friends, who quickly realize she has escaped and frantically search for her. That evening, she spots Dimitri and makes an attempt to turn the tables, confronting him with his shotgun. As a scuffle ensues, Jen manages to plunge a knife into his eyes, securing his supplies and weaponry.
Taking refuge in a cave, Jen ingests the peyote to dull her pain and cauterizes her wound with an aluminum beer can, branding herself with the iconic phoenix logo. Driven by the nightmarish visions of being hunted, she fiercely commits to the idea of hunting them down instead. The following day, as Richard instructs Stan to find Jen, she seizes the opportunity when Stan’s vehicle runs out of gas. Amid a tense face-off, she wounds him and the two engage in a prolonged shootout, resulting in further mayhem.
After outsmarting Stan and claiming his vehicle, Jen confronts Richard back at the house. In a pulse-pounding turn of events, they engage in a violent standoff where she ultimately manages to overpower him. With a decisive shot to Richard’s chest, she stands bloodied yet victorious, emerging from the house just as the sound of an approaching helicopter fills the air.
