Carla Harris Deborah Tranelli seems to have it all: a comfortable life with a handsome, wealthy husband named Mark. On their way home from a restaurant, they spot a man attacking a woman. Mark steps in to help, but is killed, and the attacker slips away just as the police arrive. Det. Russo Carmen Argenziano arrives at Carla’s house to deliver the grim news, telling her there are no witnesses yet and that he will contact her if anything turns up.

On the path to her parents’ house, Carla stops at a gas station and runs into her old boyfriend Burke [Ed Crick] and one of Burke’s friends, Sparky. Later that night, she goes to a club and reconnects with her old high school friends Estelle and her husband Slob. After an unsettling encounter with Fletch, the local butcher [Kaz Garas], Carla heads home. While she’s changing, she notices Timmy, the gardener, spying on her, an eerie reminder that danger might be closer than she thinks.

That same night, a gang of six men breaks into Carla’s house and brutalizes her. When her parents return home, Burke grabs Mr. Harris’s shotgun and kills them, along with Timmy, leaving Carla to confront a nightmare of loss and fear. In the hospital, Carla wakes up and tells Dr. Fellows [Joseph Zucchero] that she wants revenge. Later that night, she escapes from the hospital and slips into a closed bar, seducing the bartender and convincing him to pour wine all over himself. She steals his gun, then once again shows cold resolve by throwing a candle at him and leaving him to burn.

The next day, Carla tracks down Burke on his speedboat. She grabs a knife on the boat and stabs him, then uses a grappling line to force the blade through his chest. She ties the other end of the line to the boat, starts the engine, and watches Burke drown as the vessel drags him to a grim end before she escapes. She then sneaks to Sparky’s gas station and, while Sparky is working on a car, drops a car onto him, killing him in an instant. Later that night, Carla goes to Arnie’s ice company and pushes Arnie into the ice cube maker; a block of ice pushes him into the cube hole, leaving him to die.

Carla makes her way to the ice truck, chased by Fletch, the gang, and several town locals who converge on her at her parents’ house. She blocks the doors, hides in a corner, and as the mob burns the house, she escapes into a basement vent. The Sheriff [Bill McLaughlin] asks Fletch about the burning, and Fletch claims he knew nothing about it. That night, Fletch is alone in the butcher shop, and Carla confronts him in a tense confrontation. She finds the very shotgun Fletch used to kill her family and ends him with it, delivering swift justice.

Two months later, in New York, Carla finds the man who killed her husband. She seduces him, then grabs his gun and shoots him. She walks away in tears, carrying the weight of everything she has endured and the quiet, painful relief of finally taking control of her story.
