Tales from the Golden Age (2009): Cast & Box Office

The final fifteen years of Ceaușescu’s rule, the darkest period in Romania’s history, were constantly billed by the regime’s propaganda as a “Golden Age.” The film presents six unconventional vignettes that depict late‑communist life through urban myths and the eyes of ordinary citizens, using the term “Golden Age” to underscore the ironic contrast.
