What Is Two Pianos About?
The premise of Two Pianos without spoilers.
After years of exile, pianist Mathias (François Civil) returns to France when his former mentor, Eléna (Charlotte Rampling), invites him to join her for a series of concerts in his hometown of Lyon. Once a rising star and Eléna’s prized pupil, Mathias has spent the intervening years teaching and performing, and the invitation forces him to confront his past, reconnect with old ties, and reassess his artistic purpose as the two pianists prepare for the collaboration.
