Three friends in San Francisco become entangled in crime. Nick, a low‑level corporate employee, runs credit‑card scams and sells drugs. K‑Luv, a member of the V‑Dubs street gang, bootlegs CDs and pulls Nick into a truce with Lincoln, an ambitious Chinese‑mafia lieutenant. Gentrification forces Nick’s family from the Mission District to Hunter’s Point, where the V‑Dubs harass them. Lincoln begins an affair with his boss’s Stanford‑student daughter Angela, who is engaged to a medical student.
