Sita, Regina Cassandra is a practical, money-minded woman who ends up stranded in the United States after her wedding day falls apart. When she’s cheated on by her boyfriend Abhi, Subramanyam, Sai Durgha Tej a man who does odd jobs to get by, steps in to help her solve immediate problems and get back on her feet. As Seetha’s parents call from abroad, she and Subramanyam agree to travel to Kurnool so Seetha can attend her sister Geetha’s wedding, a journey that reluctantly pulls Subramanyam into a larger family affair. Seetha also pleads with Raghava, and Subramanyam agrees to go along, but not without demanding a substantial fee, setting a wary tone for the trip ahead.

On arrival in Kurnool, the family immediately mistakes them for a couple who are already married, a misunderstanding that heightens the tension around Geetha’s own wedding. Geetha’s nuptials are set with Rajasekhar, the son of a wealthy NR I, a match that has been arranged despite the earlier confusion about Seetha and Subramanyam. The situation grows more complicated as Govind Goud, a feared don, fixates on Subramanyam marrying his sister, Durga. To survive the dangerous pressure, Subramanyam pretends to be Seetha’s husband in front of Govind’s henchmen, a ruse that brings Durga’s truth into sharper focus.

Durga challenges the surface story by recounting her own backstory: she once loved Subramanyam but was betrayed when Asgar, an AC repairer, exploited her for money. Durga’s candor shifts the dynamics dramatically, and she states she is now ready to marry Subramanyam if the circumstances allow. As the deception intensifies, Govind arrives at Geetha’s wedding and tries to expose the truth, yet Geetha’s wedding with Rajasekhar still goes ahead. Seetha returns to the United States, and a week later Subramanyam follows, reuniting with her.

When Seetha asks about Durga, Subramanyam explains that Durga canceled her own wedding after learning of his love for Seetha, a revelation that reframes the earlier he-said/she-said conflicts. In the end, Seetha and Subramanyam decide to move forward together, choosing to formalize their own marriage after weathering a series of misunderstandings, loyalties, and the pressures of family expectations.
