A misadventure begins when the Three Stooges, mistakenly thought to be representatives of B.O. Pictures’ publicity team, are recruited as exterminators. Their real task, however, is to stage a faux kidnapping to boost the studio’s publicity efforts around the rising star, Dolly Devore. What seems like a simple stunt quickly spirals out of control when two gangsters actually kidnap Dolly from her hotel room, turning their fake plan into a genuine emergency.

The Stooges suddenly find themselves responsible for rescuing Dolly from the clutches of real criminals, leading to a series of chaos-filled scenes. During their rescue attempt, Shemp Howard finds himself in a perilous position, trapped on an outdoor ledge while pretending to be Dolly inside a garment bag. As tension builds, the team must work together to create a makeshift rope to save Shemp, whose life hangs in the balance. In a twist of comic luck, one of the criminals accidentally gets caught in the rope, allowing Moe Howard and Dolly Devore to disable the culprits.

Larry, another member of the trio, attempts to call for help by enlisting the police, but faces disbelief about the seriousness of the situation. Not deterred, Larry resorts to sneaky tactics, leading the police on a chase that ultimately draws them to the scene of the crime. With the police arriving just in time, the gangsters are captured, ending the dangerous ordeal.

Throughout these wild escapades, the Stooges encounter many humorous moments, including Larry’s close call with disaster and a series of slapstick sequences that even lead to an amusing scene where they end up in a bathtub filled with water. Despite all the mishaps and chaos, they manage to escape mostly unscathed, sharing a humorous reflection on their misadventures.

This story blends action, comedy, and suspense, illustrating how the Stooges’ quick wit and slapstick antics help them navigate dangerous situations, often by the skin of their teeth, leaving viewers entertained by both their foolishness and bravery.
