Two rival gangs—the Tigers and the JPs—cling to a fragile truce that shatters after a day at school when the JPs, led by Spider, Jude Gerard Prest, launch a brutal ambush on the Tigers. Max, the Tigers’ wary leader, makes it clear that the peace is only as strong as the streets allow, but Spider bluntly asserts that the turf belongs to them now. In the chaos of the melee, the Tigers lean on Charlie, a skilled martial artist, Joon B. Kim, to hold the line, yet Spud is fatally stabbed by Spider, deepening the rift. Later, Priest, Jeff Rector, is released from prison alongside Tok, Hwang Jang-Lee — a mute fighter who saved Priest and has become his most trusted ally.
