Naidu Kaikala Satyanarayana is a renowned Carnatic musician who dreams of building an academy of fine arts. His eldest son, Narayana Murthy Dr. Rajasekhar, begins to gain recognition from the music he learns from his father, signaling a hopeful future. Yet fame strains the family bond as Narayana Murthy drifts away from his roots and slips into bad habits, losing touch with the values Naidu holds dear.
Into this crisis steps Sita Sumalatha, Naidu’s daughter-in-law and a devoted music lover who loves Narayana. She becomes a steadying influence, while Shankar Naresh, the second son, marries a wealthy girl, Panchali Jayalalita, adding another layer of complexity to the family dynamics.
To realize Naidu’s dream, he sends his three sons to the city to earn money to establish the Music Academy named Sangeetha Bharathi. But city life tempts them away from the mission; they indulge in glamour and bad habits, showing disrespect to their father. Narayana Murthy even tries to harm his pregnant wife, testing the family’s unity and revealing the fragility of their bonds.
Seeing the rift, Sita embraces the difficult task of mending what was broken. She shapes her son Srinivas Shanmukha Srinivas into a gifted musician and dancer, proving that talent must be paired with discipline. After a long absence, she returns to the city where her husband lives and quietly inspires Narayana Murthy to take an interest in their son’s talents, all without revealing herself to Narayana Murthy or his brothers.
Narayana Murthy, unaware of his son’s true identity, grows to admire Srinivas’s gifts and agrees to mentor him. Meanwhile, Sita gently guides the other two brothers to refocus on music through her son, imparting lessons that help them realize their mistakes. The film builds toward a heartfelt reconciliation, with all three brothers reuniting with Naidu, seeking his forgiveness, and joining forces to recommence the dream of the academy.
In the end, the family’s renewed harmony gives birth to a fresh start for the arts, as the academy—Sangeetha Bharathi—takes shape once again, symbolizing that true passion, rooted in family and tradition, can endure and flourish.
