Shankar Guru 1978

Rajashekhar is an upright business magnate whose associates tinker with shady deals. A heated argument over one such deal spirals into a scuffle during which he accidentally shoots a colleague dead. Fleeing from the police, he loses contact with his pregnant wife Sumathi, leaving a fractured family behind and a hard road ahead for everyone involved.

Many years pass, and Sumathi has built a quiet life in Delhi with her young son, Shankar. Meanwhile, Rajashekhar has rebuilt his fortune as a wealthy estate owner in the cooler climes of Kashmir. Fate nudges loose threads again when Nalini (Rajashekhar’s niece) encounters Shankar in Delhi and suggests that he manage her uncle’s sprawling Kashmir estate.
