The premise of Raiders of the Seven Seas without spoilers.
He seizes control of his ship after a daring mutiny, earning a fearsome reputation as the pirate Barbarossa. He captures the fiery Spanish noblewoman Alida, intending to barter her to her fiancé, Captain José Salcedo, for a sizable ransom. Yet Barbarossa falls for Alida, and she soon realizes the rogue sailor is far more honorable than her former betrothed.
