What Is Phantasm About?

Strange events and unexplained deaths grip a small town, drawing the attention of young Mike. Investigating the bizarre occurrences, he uncovers a terrifying secret involving the local mortician, the Tall Man, who is reanimating the dead into horrific creatures. Joined by his brother Jody and their friend Reggie, Mike must confront the Tall Man and his deadly silver sphere, embarking on a dangerous and surreal journey to stop him and protect their community from his undead army.

In the gripping opening scene, a mysterious blond woman clad in a lavender dress shares an intimate moment with a man in a cemetery, an encounter that takes a terrifying turn as she brutally stabs him to death with a dagger. Simultaneously, Jody Pearson, a 24-year-old musician, is struggling to raise his teenage brother Mike, just 13 years old, in a quaint town in southern California that has been shaken by a series of unsettling deaths. Together with Reggie, a family-oriented ice cream vendor, the brothers begin to unravel the chilling truth behind the unsettling happenings, particularly focusing on a peculiar local mortician known as “The Tall Man.”
