Lucky, Anil Kapoor, is a small-time criminal who dreams of retiring with his girlfriend Lara, Koena Mitra, after one last job. The plan quickly spirals as he ends up tangled with the ruthless killer Billa, Sanjay Dutt. Lucky nicks 2.5 million from Billa, but Lara turns the tables and steals it back from him. Soon after, a grim realization hits: Lucky’s friends have been murdered in the wake of this dangerous game. Billa tracks him down, and Lucky must decide whether to run or strike a deal to survive.

The uneasy truce sends Lucky to Goa, where he is instructed to meet Whacko Jacko, Shakti Kapoor, and sell him a bag of unknown contents. The encounter with Jacko unfolds with a tense rendezvous and a hurried return to his hotel, where a suspicious police inspector begins to zero in on Lucky’s movements. A new thread enters the story at a small restaurant: Sam, Sameera Reddy, catches Lucky’s attention. Sam’s car breaks down, and Lucky offers her a lift home. When her husband Lukka, Mahesh Manjrekar, arrives, they help retrieve her car from the roadside and head back to Sam’s residence, pulling Lucky deeper into a web of danger and double-crosses.

That night, Lucky returns to a disco to meet Jacko again, and he finds Sam there once more, weaving the two women into his increasingly perilous predicament. After securing the money, Lucky plans to leave at dawn, but Sam appears back at his hotel, intent on a deal that could change everything. Lucky’s attention is torn between the continuing pursuit of Billa and the inspector who shadows him, and he hides the bag of cash in a passerby’s vehicle. By the time the inspector departs, the vehicle—carrying the money—has vanished. Meanwhile, Billa reclaims his own money and makes his way through the chaos with ruthless efficiency, killing Lara in the process.

With their cover blown, Lucky plays a fragile game of hide-and-seek with the truth. He discovers that Lara’s alibi and the money’s whereabouts aren’t as clean as they seem, and Lucky realizes that his own losses are mirrored by Lukka’s deadly ambition. Lukka wants Lucky to kill Sam, offering a hefty 2.5 million safeguard in return. Sam, sensing a chance to end the danger, proposes her own grim deal: if Lucky eliminates Lukka, she’ll pay him 2.5 million. The plan directs them toward a fateful confrontation that unfolds over a single dangerous night.

Lukka makes a brutal attempt to coerce Sam into submission, and when she resists, she shoots Lukka in self-defense. The moment buys Lucky time to claim the money, and the two fugitives race to flee Goa while the relentless inspector Tiger, Aditya Pancholi in hot pursuit, closes in. Sam identifies Tiger as Lukka’s brother, and the shocking truth emerges: the 2.5 million actually belongs to Tiger. Lucky manages to shake Tiger off the chase and hides the money once more, but Sam vanishes and goes missing.

Desperation turns to resolved affection as Lucky searches for Sam and finally finds her. The couple’s fragile bond is suddenly crushed by a renewed onslaught from Inspector Tiger and his police force. With ammunition running low, Lucky is saved at the last possible moment when Billa arrives and guns down the police, though Tiger manages to escape by taking Sam hostage. Facing a final choice, Lucky agrees to guide Billa to the hidden money, hoping to secure Sam’s safety.

On a desolate platform, the trio confronts the brutal arithmetic of power and betrayal. Tiger discovers the money first, and a violent struggle erupts between Tiger and Lucky, with Billa stepping in to broker a last, perilous deal: the two parallel railway tracks become a deadly stage where a train speeds toward them. If Lucky survives, he earns Sam’s safety; if Tiger survives, Tiger takes the money and Billa loses Sam. In a cruel twist of fate, the train switches tracks in a fatal misdirection—headed toward Lucky.

As Sam screams for mercy, Billa notices Tiger’s bracelet and realizes Tiger’s hand in the gang’s devastating past. Tiger is shot dead, and Sam races to save Lucky from the oncoming train. She drags him to safety just in time, and Billa watches with a wary smile as he rides away on his bike. After a short distance, he stops and drops the money bag on the ground in a small act of generosity before fading into the night, leaving the rest of the chaos behind.
