Mitthye Premer Gaan (2023): Cast & Plot

Avik, Anirban Bhattacharya, a quiet loner in his twenties, works as a small-time singer at a cozy bar in Kharagpur. He comes from a humble middle-class background; his mother teaches at a local blind school. His life is pulled between a sincere dream of pursuing music and a stubborn imposter syndrome. The shadow of a fractured family—his alcoholic father deserted them when he was young—has left him wary of people and wary of ambition itself.

He secretly writes his own songs and poetry, nurturing a private voice that longs to be heard, even as fear keeps him from singing in public. The balance between dream and doubt tips whenever he faces the world beyond his bar-side stage, and his insecurity often masks the talent only a few people glimpse.
