Jayakrishnan [Unni Mukundan] is a mechanic who runs an automobile workshop in a small village in Kerala. He is a simple, honest, and kind-hearted man who stays deeply rooted in his values, lives a modest life, and takes care of his family. He is not an ambitious businessman; he only wishes to lead a peaceful life, but like many middle-class people, he yearns for financial stability and a better future. He is deeply religious and leans on his faith to navigate life’s twists and turns.

One day, a prime piece of land comes up for sale at a reasonable price, and his friend and real estate broker Varghese [Aju Varghese] informs him that a businessman named Philip [Saiju Kurup] is eyeing it and ready to pay handsomely. Seeing a rare chance to secure a windfall, Jayakrishnan decides to buy the land first and then sell it to Philip. To fund the deal, he takes a substantial loan, trusting that the resale will go smoothly. His circle of friends and well-wishers cautions him about the risks, but he remains confident that everything will fall into place.

After the purchase, he approaches Philip to seal the deal, only to face delays and evasions from Philip, who keeps finding excuses and avoiding meetings. At the same time, cracks begin to appear in the surface of the transaction: unexpected legal issues surface, and several powerful people lay claim to the property, sparking a growing legal dispute.

Jayakrishnan soon realizes he has stepped into a well-laid trap. He is forced to pay off multiple people to settle these disputes, but the problems just multiply. Bank officials pressure him to repay the loan, and moneylenders begin to threaten him. The situation is further complicated by corruption within the system: a politician named Nambiar [Indrans] and a network of real estate mafias see his vulnerability as an opportunity to extract more money, falsely insisting that the land belongs to someone else.

Trapped with mounting debt and a collapsing support system, Jayakrishnan’s world spirals out of control. His family and friends are dragged into the chaos, and the once-peaceful life he cherished becomes a nightmare. His mental and emotional health suffer as he faces humiliation, betrayal, and a crisis of faith in humanity.

Yet he refuses to surrender. He begins gathering evidence to prove that he was deceived, and he fights back against a corrupt system with the last reserves of his strength. With the help of an honest advocate, he uncovers crucial evidence against the people who duped him and mounts a legal challenge. As the truth slowly comes to light, those who exploited him are exposed.

The legal battle is grueling, but eventually Jayakrishnan reclaims his land. Philip is made to pay for his crimes, the real estate mafias face accountability, and the politician’s power wanes. After months of hardship, Jayakrishnan clears his debts and earns a hard-won sense of justice. The experience leaves a lasting mark on him: he understands the harsh realities of a world where honesty alone does not guarantee survival in a corrupt system.

Yet the man who returns to his workshop is not the same naïve dreamer he once was. He chooses to live a simpler life once again, but with a deeper awareness and a measured wisdom that shapes how he moves forward.
