Spoilers ahead
In a world where classical dance is both art and lifeblood, Mangal, Keshavrao Date is a respected dance guru who stumbles upon a dazzling performance in a lavish haveli by Neela. He invites his talented son Girdhar, Gopi Krishna, to demonstrate to the audience the true method of classical dance, a moment that catches Neela’s eye and heart. Enraptured by Girdhar’s skill, Neela begs Mangal to admit her as a pupil. He agrees, but imposes two conditions: she must devote her life to art, and she must partner Girdhar in the Tandav portion of an upcoming dance competition.
