Narasimha [Nandamuri Balakrishna] roams across Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu with a newborn, hoping to find peace in difficult terrains and unfamiliar towns. His journey brings him to Kumbakonam on Rathasapthami, where a small touch from the child at a temple risks an omen of bad luck. A kind-hearted temple secretary, Murali Krishna, steps in to calm the moment, offers Narasimha a steady job, and provides shelter for him and the people who work at the temple. In this new, modest rhythm of life, Narasimha treats his workers with respect and fairness, including Manga, a cheeky young woman who brings a spark to the shop floor.
Yet the surface calm can’t mask entrenched power games. Local kingpin Kaniyappan runs underground deals and keeps a close eye on his younger ally, while an overbearing police officer, the new ACP, bends the law to protect his own interests and slashes at Narasimha’s attempts to stand up to him. When Narasimha publicly resists this abuse, tension between the two sides hardens. In the middle of this, Dhanya, Murali Krishna’s spirited daughter, suffers a drunken accident that gravely injures Pandey, and the fragile balance in the community shifts. A surge of violence follows: Kaniyappan attacks Murali Krishna’s household, and Narasimha, exposing his own vulnerabilities, indicts himself and takes a beating. In the wake of the chaos, Dhanya begins to reform and finds herself drawn toward Narasimha, complicating loyalties and desires.
A visit by Central Minister Veera Raghava Reddy from Andhra Pradesh escalates matters further. The minister is publicly humiliated, and the ASP lashes out, triggering a Brahmin-led outcry. Murali Krishna works to negotiate, but Narasimha’s insistence that the ASP apologize—broadcast on the news—adds fuel to the fire. The televised confrontation reaches Thota Rami Reddy in Vizag, who seethes at the spectacle and seizes the moment to fan the flames behind the scenes.
In a brutal turn, the ASP murders Pandey to settle a vendetta, driving a wedge between Kaniyappan and Narasimha. The conflict intensifies when Kaniyappan abducts the ASP’s son, forcing Narasimha into a perilous rescue mission. Narasimha manages to retrieve the child after a tense chase and a clash with Kaniyappan, and he discovers that the ASP, despite his flaws, shows a rare remorse and willingness to protect his family. This moment is sharpened by a revelation through ASP’s wife, Gauri, who discloses the deeper pain that colors Narasimha’s relationship with the law.
Narasimha and Gauri, childhood friends who become lovers, reconnect as life threads pull in different directions. Gauri returns after her studies, and Narasimha now runs a small mechanic shed, treating his workers with dignity and care, especially Manga, whose mischievous spirit brightens the grim world around them. The couple’s world is unsettled further when Ravi Shankar Reddy, Thota Rami Reddy’s ambitious son, appears at a crossroads, challenging for the MP seat and setting off a chain of violent confrontations that ripple through the community. The ensuing upheaval contributes to a tragic sequence that fractures lives and tests loyalties.
Amid this turbulence, Manga’s path crosses Narasimha’s in a bond that becomes central to the story. The romance, however, is shadowed by violence when Rami Reddy orchestrates a brutal attack that destroys Manga’s wedding and leaves many dead, including the groom. Narasimha’s stand before the judiciary results in a death sentence, forcing him to reckon with his chosen path and the costs of standing up to corruption and exploitation. Gauri, meanwhile, retreats from the life she shared with Narasimha, while Narasimha wrestles with the pull between his public duty and his private vow to them both.
In the face of despair, Narasimha’s steadfastness survives through the memory of Manga and the children she bore. Manga’s death—she dies giving birth to twins—leaves Narasimha and the others to carry on, and Master [Prakash Raj] acknowledges the sacrifice with quiet respect. The struggle continues as Thota Rami Reddy and Kaniyappan seize ASP’s family, prompting Narasimha to intervene and stop the criminals, even as the ASP’s household suffers more tragedy, and their child dies. In the end, Narasimha gives the second child to Gauri, a final act of mercy and protection that glows with his resolve to shield the innocent.
As the dust settles, Master salutes Narasimha for his unwavering commitment to life and kin. The story closes on a stark, resonant image: Narasimha walks forward with the weighty memory of his deceased son, carrying a burden that refuses to loosen, even as he remains devoted to the people he has chosen to protect and the family he has fought to preserve.
