Jai Ho 2014

Jai, an ex-army officer portrayed by Salman Khan, is dedicated to helping others and taking down criminals single-handedly. Once a major in the Indian Army, he faced suspension after defying high command orders to rescue children from terrorist clutches. Now residing with his mother, Nadira Babbar, and sister Geeta, played by Tabu, there’s tension between them due to Geeta’s marriage to a Muslim man, which broke their mother’s heart.

In a tragic turn of events, Jai once assisted a physically disabled girl named Suman, played by Genelia D’Souza, in her examinations. However, when she desperately needed help during another exam and no one came to her aid, she took her own life. This harrowing incident disturbs Jai profoundly, leading him to conclude that people have become increasingly apathetic. He devises a plan for a helping-chain initiative, encouraging individuals to assist three others, with the hope of cultivating a more compassionate society. Unfortunately, his efforts meet with disappointment.

Conflict escalates when Jai confronts a wealthy man who has harmed a child beggar. In retaliation, this wealthy antagonist employs goons who abduct Jai’s sister Geeta and his friend Rinky, played by Daisy Shah. Undeterred, Jai rescues them and severely injures one of the kidnappers, who happens to be connected to an MLA, portrayed by Mukul Dev, and the Home Minister, Danny Denzongpa, who sees Jai’s actions as a personal affront.

Elevating the stakes, the Home Minister kidnaps Jai’s nephew, but in a twist of fate, loses his own son-in-law during the fracas that ensues. When the Chief Minister, Mohnish Bahl, learns about Jai’s altruistic approach—having personally experienced a similar gesture from a school girl—he intervenes, attempting to mediate peace with Dashrat Singh. However, the Home Minister has darker plans, intending to murder the Chief Minister and pin the blame on Jai.

In a gripping sequence of events, Jai reveals his heroism by saving the injured Chief Minister from Dashrat Singh’s son, Arjun, played by Haroon Qazi, despite sustaining grave injuries himself. After being stabbed by Dashrat’s daughter, played by Sana Khan, Jai’s rescue comes through the intervention of a rickshaw driver and his former military colleague, Sunil Shetty, who rush him to the hospital.

Meanwhile, as Dashrat spins a narrative in the media, accusing Jai of attempting to murder the Chief Minister, a dramatic turn unfolds when the Chief Minister recovers and exposes the truth, inciting public outrage against Dashrat Singh. Ultimately, as Jai recuperates in the hospital, he learns that his help-three-people initiative bore fruit, saving not only his life but igniting a spirit of generosity in the community. As he emerges from the hospital, he is greeted by a multitude of grateful people, and in a heartfelt moment, he expresses his gratitude, recognizing the success of his vision.
