The premise of How I Unleashed World War II, Part I: The Escape without spoilers.
On the night of August 31, 1939, Dolas, a soldier from a platoon reinforcing a border train station, falls asleep in a railcar and unknowingly crosses into Germany. When he shoots a man he believes to be a saboteur, the German invasion of Poland begins and he blames himself. Captured, he is sent to Stalag POW camp, the first stop of his European odyssey.
