The tour guide, Garrett (Zach Woods), leads a group through the eerie Aldridge mansion in New York City, recounting the tragic tale of Gertrude Aldridge, a mentally disturbed woman who was imprisoned in the basement by her father. To give the visitors a thrill, Garrett orchestrates a spooky trick with a candlestick, but unbeknownst to him, a strange device beneath the nightstand is activating. As he finishes his tour, ominous noises from the basement pique his curiosity. However, when the mansion’s doorknob becomes too hot to touch, he finds himself trapped inside. In a frantic attempt to escape, Garrett tries to break a window, only to have the stool thrown back at him.
