A hapless everyman named Bertram Pincus is mysteriously resurrected after only seven minutes, and discovers he can see ghosts. He's immediately plagued by the persistent spirit of Frank Herlihy, who forces Bertram to interfere with his widow Gwen’s upcoming marriage. Thrust into a bizarre supernatural situation, Bertram finds himself entangled in a hilarious and unpredictable love triangle with Gwen, facing comical consequences and unexpected complications.

Bertram Pincus, an introverted dentist residing in the bustling heart of New York City, leads a rather solitary existence, rarely engaging with others and often finding little good to say about the world around him. His life takes an unexpected turn when he begrudgingly agrees to undergo a routine colonoscopy at St. Victor’s Hospital, insistent on being placed under general anesthesia despite the medical team’s advice against it. Upon awakening and returning to the streets, Bertram is startled to discover that he has become a magnet for the deceased, with spirits shadowing his every move, all seeking his attention.
