Vijay’s life begins in tragedy when his parents are killed by Robert. He is taken in and raised by Thiyagarajan, forging a relationship with Thiyagarajan’s daughter that grows into a deep, almost sisterly bond. As an adult, Vijay becomes a successful, soft-spoken, and kind businessman who chooses a quiet, reclusive path rather than the glare of public life. The calm of his routine is briefly interrupted when Chitra comes to interview him, throwing open the door to a romance that neither of them expected.

In this tidy, orderly life, love arrives in two parallel forms. Vijay falls for Chitra, while those closest to him—his sister and Manju—find themselves drawn to a photographer. Although the initial arrangement between Vijay and his sister’s love interest faces resistance, a careful, patient reading of people reveals that the photographer is hardworking and sincere, not a man after money or status. The story threads through these relationships, painting a portrait of trust, loyalty, and the sometimes messy realities of choosing who to love and how to build a life together. Yet the surface happiness is pierced by a tragedy: Manju is found dead near the pier, an event that marks a turning point in the tale.

Behind the tragedy lies a brutal truth kept hidden in the shadows. Robert, a longtime family friend, is an illegal organ trader who deals in stolen eyes. It is he who kidnaps and murders Manju, twisting the narrative into a chase for justice and revenge. Vijay carries a secret weakness that compounds the drama: on full moon nights, a violent alter-ego takes over, a persona so strong and dangerous that it echoes the day he lost his biological family. This dangerous side is the reason he has always kept a tight lid on his private life, a secret he only confides to Chitra, the woman he loves and trusts above all others.

To prevent further harm, Vijay’s adoptive father—torn between love and necessity—and later his sister take drastic steps, effectively chaining him up in a room to prevent him from hurting others and, perhaps more crucially, himself. The burden of this duality weighs heavily on him, shaping every decision he makes as the danger within him fights the duty he feels toward the people who care for him.

When the truth about Robert’s operations comes to light, Vijay pursues the criminal with a renewed, razor-edged determination. He is briefly overpowered by Robert’s henchmen, a setback that underscores the peril of his condition and the cruelty of the world he is trying to protect his loved ones from. Yet the confrontation culminates in a grim crescendo: during a final deal, the full moon rises, and Vijay, in his alter-ego, unleashes his fury and tears through those who stood in his way, ending their threat with brutal finality.

Despite the bloodshed, there is a form of vindication. The law grants him acquittal, recognizing both the medical reality of his condition and the fact that the deceased were criminals themselves. The story closes on a note that blends tragedy with relief, acknowledging the complexity of a man who can be both kind and terrifying, a protector and a possible danger, all at once. The tale remains a meditation on the limits of control, the costs of silence, and the quiet courage it takes to face a world that often demands more than one life can bear.
