Spoilers ahead
In the world beyond the earth and the vast void of space, the God of Death, Yeman Sr., plans a quiet retirement after a long reign in the Yemalogam. Watching from the shadows, Chitraguptan schemes to become the next Yeman, but fate has a different plan in store. To honor his lineage, Yeman Jr.—a lively fifth grader known for his humor more than his studies—is chosen as the heir to the throne. The news hits him like a surprise wind, and he openly argues with his parents about the burden of a crown he never asked for, a debate that ultimately leads to a reluctant coronation for the sake of his parents.
