What Is Countdown About?
The premise of Countdown without spoilers.
When Chris Murdoch becomes obsessively infatuated with Kaori Ozaki, a Japanese student at a Seattle university, he begins killing Japanese men who have shown her kindness, claiming he is avenging Pearl Harbor. FBI Agent Sara Daniels is drawn into the case, but the investigation stalls when Yoko Sugimura of the Tokyo police arrives to return Kaori to her powerful father. Despite their initial animosity, Sara and Yoko must join forces to stop Chris, whose fixation escalates into a plot involving high‑explosive attacks.
