The Bhandaris are an affluent family, and the household is fiercely dominated by Kamla [Bindu Desai], the matriarch who runs the family business. Kailash [Kader Khan] is her stay-at-home husband, quietly holding the domestic fort as the family’s steady anchor. Kamla wants her eldest son Suraj [Farooq Shaikh] to marry a girl whose social status matches theirs, ensuring a seamless continuation of their social standing.
