Captain Aditya ‘Adit’ Arya, Arjun Rampal, is a decorated special agent of the Indian army sent on a mission code-named Asambhav: to rescue the kidnapped president and his daughter Kinjal Dipannita Sharma from a pair of master criminals and their international network.
The ordeal begins when President Veer Pratap Singh Mohan Agashe is seized by the ruthless Rafiq Mabroz Shawar Ali. Mabroz demands a hefty ransom, tapping into a web of ruthless financiers led by Youssan Baksh Mukesh Rishi and General Ansari Milind Gunaji. To carry out the rescue, Adit travels to Switzerland undercover as a journalist for Indiatimes, aided by RAW operative Atul Bhatnagar, Jameel Khan. On the flight, Adit crosses paths with Alisha Priyanka Chopra Jonas, a singer who’s in Switzerland to perform, and her friend Shilpa Chitrita Sharma. The pair’s arrival is shadowed by danger, as the people with Alisha and Shilpa are drug smugglers. Shilpa discovers this truth and is murdered, and Alisha, trying to stay calm, pretends innocence while seeking Adit’s help. The encounter kindles a bond between Adit and Alisha, sparking a romance that complicates the mission.
Adit soon pieces together how the pieces connect: Sam Hans Naseeruddin Shah, General Ansari, Youssan Baksh, and Mabroz are entangled in a broader plot that even reaches ISI interests. Sam Hans, a formidable figure connected to the embassy, becomes a crucial link in uncovering the conspiracy. With Sam’s ally Ranjit Parmar Yashpal Sharma, a trusted assistant at the Indian embassy in Switzerland, the investigation gains traction. Parmar digs into Swiss files and learns that Mabroz is operating with a hidden agenda that could threaten more than a single hostage. The stakes rise as Parmar unravels a traitor in the Indian camp: Ms. Brar Tora Khasgir is revealed to be aligned with Mabroz and the ISI’s machinations, while Ambassador G.L. Sarin Sharat Saxena appears complicit as well. The discovery triggers a deadly confrontation: Mabroz orchestrates Parmar’s murder, leaving a suicide note that Sarin uses to mislead the investigation—until Arya exposes the ambassador’s guilt by a telltale head stamp on the note. Brar and Sarin flee as Arya closes in, pursued through a tense pursuit that culminates in a fort where ISI operatives and Mabroz’s men ambush him. Arya fights through and emerges victorious, eliminating the threat represented by Gazi Chetan Hansraj and the rest of Mabroz’s squad.
Adit’s next objective is Mabroz’s stronghold, where he trains his sights on Youssan Baksh and the president’s location. He infiltrates the headquarters, engages a fierce firefight, and eliminates General Ansari along with Mabroz’s guards. Yet Youssan manages to flee with the president, forcing Adit to chase across borders in a high-stakes pursuit. In this global chess game, Adit’s path intertwines with Sam Hans’s operations as well, because Sam, having captured Alisha and Kinjal, becomes entangled in a deadly confrontation with Ambassador Sarin—who holds Brian, Hans’s friend, captive. Hans intervenes, offering money to secure Brian’s release, but Sarin reneges and kills Brian. In the crossfire that follows, Mabroz’s mercenaries fall to Hans’s vengeance, while Ms. Brar and Volga Anupama Verma separately pursue Alisha and Kinjal near a helicopter, only to be drawn into the chaos that ends with a fatal exchange.
Sarin’s final bid to finish Hans is thwarted when Hans defeats him, avenging Brian’s death and resetting the balance of the uneasy rivalry between them. The mission reaches its climax when Youssan makes one last attempt to annihilate the president; Adit counters and kills Youssan, ending the immediate threat to the president’s life. Mabroz follows, only to meet a similar fate at Adit’s hands. With the danger cleared, Adit tracks down Sam, who confesses his past sins but resolves to become a better ally. The two arch-rivals-turned-rivals-turned-allies reconcile as the dust settles.
In the final turn of this perilous mission, Adit returns to India with Alisha Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Kinjal Dipannita Sharma, the president Veer Pratap Singh Mohan Agashe, and Atul Bhatnagar Jameel Khan by his side. The film closes on a note of uneasy peace and renewed trust, with Adit and Sam forging a complicated but genuine alliance after a mission that tested their loyalties, courage, and resolve. The action is relentless, the plot twists keep the tension taut, and the emotional undertones between Adit and Alisha add a human element to a story driven by espionage, betrayal, and the relentless pursuit of justice.
