Concert in the city - Bernstein Story: Past Dates & Cities

*Concert in the City, Bernstein Story*

This year, more than any other, the city takes center stage in a dazzling showcase of Leonard Bernstein’s vibrant repertoire. Joseph Swensen leads audiences on a whirlwind tour through New York, propelled by Bernstein’s boundless music from the northern suburbs of West Side Story to the Broadway streets of Candide, and along the banks of the Hudson with the evocative symphonic suite from 1954’s On the Waterfront.

The Big Apple’s musical passport begins in Bordeaux, where the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine opens the season and reunites with fans both in the city and beyond. In the heart of the Auditorium, large screens broadcast the concert live, capturing the electric pulse of the performance for viewers worldwide.
