Spoilers ahead
The four childhood friends—Doug McCallister, Ronald “Griff” Griffin, Kenny Trent, and Claire Simons—feel a growing dissatisfaction with where their lives have landed. When Griff reveals he has secured the rights to one of their favorite films, Anaconda, the crew scrambles to turn the dream into reality by borrowing against a loan and setting off for a rough-and-ready, low-budget indie production deep in the Amazon rainforest of Brazil. What begins as a bold, carefree venture soon spirals into a tense, survival-minded shoot as Griff and the crew attempt to recreate the jungle-fevered thrill of their inspiration.
