Age of the Dragons 2011

Harpooner [Corey Sevier] joins captain [Danny Glover] aboard the armored Pequod, a landbound vessel built to chase dragons across a sunlit, myth-rich realm. The seven-strong crew ostensibly hunts the precious vitriol, a volatile liquid housed inside the fire-breathing winged beasts that powers their world.

Ishmael comes to learn that Ahab’s mission is driven by a deep vendetta against the great white dragon—the colossal creature that scarred him decades ago, left him injured, and claimed his sister’s life. Forced to shelter from the sun due to his burn wounds, Ahab pursues dragons with a relentless, almost fanatical zeal, with a particular emphasis on the white one.

A romance blooms between Ishmael and Rachel, [Sofia Pernas], Ahab’s adopted daughter, which sparks tension with the hotheaded Flask [Larry Bagby] and complicates loyalties aboard the ship.

In the dragon’s lair, secrets surface and Rachel faces a crucible: follow Ahab on his dark quest or seek a new life with Ishmael. She chooses the latter.

The final confrontation centers on Ahab’s spear, tethered to his foot, catching on the White Dragon’s neck. The creature lifts away with a screaming Ahab, then hurls him against a rock pillar and silences him. The white dragon escapes into the distance, carrying Ahab’s lifeless body with it.
