What Is A Conviction of Marriage About?
The premise of A Conviction of Marriage without spoilers.
Shinju Shinagawa, known as "Shinagawa Pierrot" due to her clown-like makeup at the time of her arrest, refused to speak during her initial trial. Child consultation center worker Arata Natsume is approached by Takuto Yamashita, a young boy seeking answers about his father’s disappearance. Takuto has secretly been exchanging letters with Shinagawa, hoping to discover the fate of his father’s missing head. Arata, posing as a government official, finds the serial killer is not what he expected. When she realizes his identity has been revealed, Shinagawa abruptly leaves. In a moment of desperation, Arata impulsively proposes marriage.
