What Is A Christmas Memory About?
The premise of A Christmas Memory without spoilers.
In Depression‑era rural Alabama, a young boy and his elderly cousin—also his closest friend—spend the days before Christmas gathering ingredients for their yearly fruitcakes destined for “people who’ve struck our fancy.” On Christmas Eve they eagerly discuss the holiday, while quietly confronting the bittersweet reality that the boy is maturing and his beloved cousin is aging and frail. The story is adapted from Truman Capote’s autobiographical short story.
