He debuted in 1987 with the iconic role of Takaya Aiba/Tekkaman Blade, quickly establishing a reputation for his deep, resonant voice that lends an imposing presence to a wide range of characters. Over the years he has voiced unforgettable protagonists and antagonists in anime, such as Yoshikage Kira in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable, Kengo Akechi in Kindaichi Case Files, Naraku in Inuyasha, and Sephiroth across the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts series, showcasing his versatility from heroic to villainous roles. In the shōnen arena he portrayed Minato Namikaze in Naruto: Shippūden, Isshin Kurosaki in Bleach, Kagaya Ubuyashiki in Demon Slayer, and Julius Novachrono in Black Clover, cementing his status as a go‑to talent for powerful, authoritative figures.
