Jason Schwartzman, born June 26, 1980, an American actor and musician, garnered fame for his debut in Wes Anderson's 1998 film Rushmore. He is much applauded for his roles in multiple Anderson films including The Darjeeling Limited (2007), Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009), Moonrise Kingdom (2012), The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014), The French Dispatch (2021), and Asteroid City (2023). He also co-wrote The Darjeeling Limited. Notably, he lent his voice for the character Spot in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) and the upcoming Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.

His vast filmography includes Spun (2003), I Heart Huckabees (2004), Marie Antoinette (2006), Funny People (2009), Saving Mr. Banks (2013), Big Eyes (2014), Klaus (2019), The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes (2023), and Queer (2024). In television, he starred in Bored to Death (2009–2011) and appeared in the fourth season of FX's Fargo (2020). He was an executive producer on Amazon Prime's Mozart in the Jungle (2014–18), in which he also acted.

In addition to acting, Schwartzman has a sizable music career, having released three albums under the name Coconut Records and been a drummer for the rock band Phantom Planet. Born in Los Angeles, the son of Talia Shire and Jack Schwartzman, he comes from a highly creative lineage that includes Francis Ford Coppola (uncle) and Nicolas Cage (cousin).
