Jacqueline Ruth Weaver AO is a notable Australian actress with a versatile career spanning theatre, film, and television. Born on 25 May 1947, she rose to prominence in the 1970s Australian New Wave through her work in Ozploitation films such as Stork, Alvin Purple, and Petersen. Her performance in Caddie won her an AACTA Award for Best Supporting Actress in Film. Throughout her career, Weaver has starred in a variety of productions, ranging from Picnic at Hanging Rock (1975), Squizzy Taylor (1982), Animal Kingdom (2010), Silver Linings Playbook (2012), to Father Stu (2022).

On the small screen, she has starred in an array of series like Blunt Talk, Secret City, Perpetual Grace, LTD, and Bloom. Currently, she can be seen in the Paramount Network neo-Western series, Yellowstone. Besides her acting career, Weaver's personal life has been just as colorful, including several relationships and marriages. In her education and early career, she mimed the role of Gretel in an ABC production of Engelbert Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel. Weaver's career breakthrough came in 1965 when she was cast in the Australian TV series Wandjina. Overall, Weaver's career in the arts has been a testament to her talent, versatility, and longevity.
