What's After the Movie
**Alexander Everett Moffat**, born on March 25, 1982, is an American actor and comedian known for his work on the NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live. He made his debut during the show's 42nd season in 2016 and after two seasons, Moffat and his fellow debutants, Mikey Day and Melissa Villaseñor, became repertory cast members with the commencement of the 44th season in 2018. However, he left the show in 2022, after a span of six years. His career started in Chicago where he performed at The Second City, ImprovOlympic, Annoyance Theatre, and Zanies Comedy Club. His stepping stone into the film industry was the indie-drama Uncle John where he co-starred with John Ashton in 2015. Moffat mastered the art of impersonation with a series of celebrity imitations on Saturday Night Live, including Joe Biden, David Beckham, Mark Zuckerberg and many others. He also developed two recurring characters which won him acclaim - 'The Guy Who Just Bought a Boat' and 'Terry Fink', a film critic. In his personal life, Moffat is father to a daughter, Everett, born in January 2021. He got married to Caroline Rau and currently resides in Brooklyn. Moffat's story is of a local Chicago improviser making it to one of comedy's biggest platforms and transitioning smoothly into mainstream acting with his Broadway debut in 2023, in *The Cottage*.
