A sheriff’s warning follows, cautioning John that Danny has become obsessive and that several people, including John, might be under suspicion.

The trip to Ben’s hometown becomes a focal point for the tangled web of relationships. While the group visits John and then reconnects with Danny, Danny storms off after John denies having any involvement with Dutch—and refuses to discuss what happened between Dutch and John’s sister, who reportedly killed herself after Dutch ended their affair. That night, Ben and Kate acknowledge their growing feelings and share a kiss, even as danger lurks nearby.
