Roe Black Pearl panels are engineered with specific properties that make them ideal for being filmed by a sensitive, high-resolution cinema camera:
- High Refresh Rate: They have a refresh rate of 3840Hz or higher, which is critical for preventing flicker and other temporal artifacts when shooting at various frame rates and shutter angles.
- Wide Color Gamut & Accuracy: They can reproduce a vast range of colors with exceptional fidelity, allowing them to display photorealistic digital environments that seamlessly blend with physical sets and actors.
- Minimized Moiré and Scan Lines: The physical design of the pixels and the surface of the panels are optimized to reduce moiré—the distracting, wavy pattern that can appear when a camera films a fine-grid pattern. This is a common problem with lower-quality screens.
- Wide Viewing Angle: The panels maintain consistent color and brightness even when viewed from extreme angles, which is essential for a curved LED wall that the camera will be moving around within.
- Anti-Reflection Surface: They feature a matte, non-reflective surface that minimizes glare and unwanted reflections from the practical lights on set.
