Gregory James Cohan plays Doug Jones / The VelociPastor, a Roman-Catholic priest who witnesses his parents die in a startling VFX car fire, an event that launches him on a spiritual journey toward China. There, he encounters ninjas on a quest for an artifact said to turn people into the Dragon Warrior, a legend that hooks his imagination and fuels the strange path ahead. After the artifact infects him, he begins to endure vivid nightmares and a confusing cascade of visions, and his mentor, Daniel Steere as Father Stewart, shares a kiss with him in this surreal, night-blooming sequence.

Late one night, deep in the forest, the artifact’s influence surges and Doug transforms into a dinosaur, a moment of wild power that he uses to rescue Alyssa Kempinski as Carol, a prostitute, from a threatening thug Alec Lambert. The rescue is unforgettable and chaotic, leaving him to wake up the next morning naked in Carol’s bed with no memory of what happened. Carol fills in the blanks, and Doug slowly comes to understand that his night of carnivalesque strength has changed the boundaries of his life—and perhaps his soul.

Back in the safety of ordinary life, Doug’s curiosity about his powers clashes with a growing sense of duty. He returns to the church for confession, where he learns from Frankie Mermaid, played by Fernando Pacheco de Castro, that Frankie himself may be connected to the murder of Doug’s parents. Enraged and driven by a new, uncertain moral code, Doug sets out to confront Frankie, and he kills him in a brutal flash of righteous fury. With Frankie gone, he becomes convinced that his power can be used to root out criminals, and he turns toward Carol, seeking her alliance in this dangerous mission.

Father Stewart, alarmed by the flare of power in his former protégé, urges Doug to renounce the violence and return to a life of restraint. He arranges a meeting with Altair, an enigmatic exorcist who seems to know more about Doug’s new abilities than anyone else. The journey to Altair’s guidance is punctuated by a troubling flashback: a war buddy was shot in an instant of vulnerability, and Stewart’s own heart broke when his love was lost to a mine. The past collides with the present as Altair attempts to exorcise the monster that has taken root, but the ritual falters. Doug’s transformations intensify, and in a nightmarish moment he slashes Father Stewart’s eye, a brutal reminder of how far apart their paths have become.

Doug returns to Carol, and the danger grows as ninjas close in. They discover the camp of drug-dealing Christian ninjas led by Wei Chan [Yang Jiechang], whose plan is terrifying in its cynicism: he intends to flood people with cocaine to hook them and then draw them to the church, using them as a pliant army. The revelation of his scheme hardens Doug’s resolve to stop him, but the conflict draws in more forces than before. Father Stewart’s fate is sealed in this confrontation, leaving Doug and Carol to face the ninjas with fresh urgency.

The clash brings Sam the White Ninja into the spotlight—Jesse Turits—who is revealed to be Doug’s brother. The moment of truth comes when Doug, wielding telekinetic power, disarms Sam and kills him in a swift, grave moment that underscores the high cost of their chosen path. As the battles rage on, Carol is badly wounded, forcing Doug to fight not just for himself but to protect the woman he has come to rely on.

The fight intensifies as Doug re-enters his velociraptor form, using his raw dinosaur power to push back the remaining ninjas. Wei Chan retaliates with a rash of cunning moves, firing an arrow laced with anti-venom intended to halt the transformation. Yet Doug’s hands prove immune to the antidote, allowing him to press the advantage and ultimately defeat Wei Chan through a combination of ferocity and surprising skill.

With Carol carried to the hospital and paying the price for the brutal night, she recovers, and Doug remains by her side. The world now looks different: he is no longer a priest, and a staggering bounty of a billion dollars rests on his head. Still, the couple remains committed to their radical plan—traveling the globe together and continuing their shared vow to eradicate criminals, even as the line between savior and monster remains perilously thin. Their unusual partnership, forged in fire and myth, ends not with a neat conclusion but with a hard, hopeful promise: a new life built on survival, loyalty, and an odd kind of justice that only they seem to understand.
