Karthik is a laid-back, jobless young man from an upper-middle-class family, and he is the only child of his father, who works as a bank manager. He often spends his time hanging out with his close friends: Kumar, an autorickshaw driver, Shekar, who owns a tea shop, and Vishnu, a traffic constable. Despite his easygoing nature, Karthik is quite ambitious and craves the best of everything in life — from high-quality pens and fashionable clothes to fulfilling experiences. He follows a peculiar rule: try out multiple options before settling on the best one.

With this mindset, Karthik devises a unique plan to find his future wife. He decides to romance three girls simultaneously— Jyothi, a spirited athlete from a poorer part of Chennai; Priya, a girl committed to traditional values and dedicated to one true love; and Tejaswini, a wealthy and confident heir to a massive fortune of Rs. 1,500 crores (about US$190 million). Over time, he courts each of them, lying and pretending to be someone he’s not, all while none of the girls suspect that he is involved with the others at the same time.

Jyothi, who is fiercely independent and has a strong sense of dignity, initially impresses Karthik with her resilience, especially when she slaps a man for inappropriate behavior, highlighting her bold personality. Priya appears as a morally grounded girl, believing in loyalty and making sincere choices based on genuine love. Meanwhile, Tejaswini exhibits the typical traits of wealth and arrogance but also carries emotional scars from a failed previous relationship. Karthik, motivated by desire and curiosity, successfully wins all three hearts by fibbing about his true circumstances and intentions.

However, everything begins to unravel when Tejaswini’s protective and caring father, Ranganathan—actor’s page—who wants his daughter to avoid heartbreak, uncovers Karthik’s deception. He confronts Karthik, leading the young man to dump Tejaswini and continue his pursuit of Jyothi and Priya. Feeling betrayed, Tejaswini makes a vengeful plan by befriending her rivals and giving them advice on quickening their marriage plans, with the goal of exposing Karthik.

Jyothi eventually learns the truth about Karthik’s lies, prompting him to reject her as well, and he settles with Priya, realizing the importance of genuine love thanks to her sincerity and his own emotional growth. Meanwhile, Anbalazhagan — actor’s page — Jyothi’s brother, confronts Karthik about his betrayal. Under pressure, Karthik exposes his entire scheme, revealing his true character and the subsequent heartbreak he caused.

In a moment of despair, Karthik’s conflicts lead him to cause a serious traffic accident, during which he sustains injuries and is rushed to the hospital. While hospitalized, Karthik—actor’s page—pretends to have amnesia to gain the compassion of Dr. Ramya — special appearance— and to give himself a second chance to change his ways. His plan works; Priya, believing in his remorse, returns to him, and he begins to reflect on his past mistakes.

The movie culminates with Karthik breaking the fourth wall, telling the audience that he intends to become a new man who will only love Priya from now on. With a playful smile, he asks, > “You believe me, right?” leaving his future open to interpretation and inviting viewers to ponder whether his change is genuine.

This story is a mix of comedy, drama, and romance, illustrating the pitfalls of deceit and the power of true love to transform a flawed individual.
