Convention test drive

Dr. Jonas Carson brings Chip and an inferior android model to a robotics convention to test whether the world is ready to live with androids. When the demonstration bombs, he faces ridicule and nearly reveals Chip's true nature. He chooses not to expose Chip, accepting the loss of credibility to protect the trust they've built.

Jonas abducted

After the convention, Jonas is kidnapped by hired goons of Dr. Frederick Berrigon and replaced with a look-alike android. Chip notices something wrong and observes the substitute in place of his father. He resolves to safeguard Jonas by gathering allies for a rescue.

Impostor switched

Chip realizes the impostor is a replacement for Jonas and manages to reprogram him into an ally. The newly named Bonus becomes an extra asset rather than a threat. This change sets the stage for the planned rescue.

Chip recruits Kyle

Chip befriends a small-time pickpocket named Kyle and asks for his help in rescuing Jonas. Kyle agrees to join the mission, impressed by Chip's cause and tech. The team begins to assemble their plan.

Mansion target identified

Bonus proves instrumental by guiding them to the mansion where Dr. Carson is being held. The search intensifies as the team closes in on the target. Tension mounts as the security perimeter tightens around the estate.

Infiltration plan fails

Their initial entry plan fails due to tight security, forcing them to retreat. They realize they need a more cunning approach to infiltrate the mansion unseen. Inside the estate, time is running out to reach Carson.

Disguise plan devised

Kate Morgan, a policewoman, teams up with Bonus and Kyle to devise a new plan. They decide to pose as wealthy investors to secure access. Aunt Mildred lends social clout and helps them prepare their cover identities.

Disguised entry succeeds

Disguises get them inside the mansion, but they are soon discovered while snooping. Kate, Kyle, and Bonus must keep guards occupied while Chip sorts out finding Carson. The clock ticks as danger mounts around their covert operation.

Berrigon's war-machine plan

Chip learns that Berrigon intends to extract Dr. Carson's knowledge to build a war machine android. The revelation escalates the stakes, turning a rescue into a confrontation against a weaponized project. Chip steels himself for the coming clash.

Prototype duel

Chip is confronted by a functioning prototype and must fight it. He dodges laserfire at first and then uses his speed and resourcefulness to gain the upper hand. The clash tests Chip's abilities to defend his father and their cause.

Explosion tactic

In a decisive move, Chip knocks the laser aside with a projectile and then uses a cart-mounted compressed hydrogen canister. He smashes the valve, sending the canister toward the rival android and triggering a massive explosion. The blast destroys the prototype and ends the threat.

Berrigon exposed

Berrigon, realising Chip is Carson's android, yells for the police to arrest Chip on account of him being an android; the officers remain unconvinced and haul the villain away instead. Chip flings Berrigon into a mud pond to prevent any escape. The immediate danger passes as order is restored.

Aftermath begins

Kate Morgan is promoted to petty theft, and she vows to reform Kyle into an honest man. Aunt Mildred, attracted to Bonus, starts a relationship with him. The group begins to look toward a new chapter after the confrontation.
