Jinchū Note

Kenshin discovers a note bearing the written characters jinchū, hinting at human judgment. The symbol foreshadows Enishi's brutal vendetta and raises the stakes for Kenshin. He begins to understand the personal danger looming over Tokyo.

Targets: Dojo and Police Home

Enishi orders two attacks: one to destroy the Maekawa Dojo and another to strike the Chief of Police's home. The calculated assaults aim to cripple Kenshin's support network and spread fear across the city. The violence widens and the countdown to a final confrontation begins.

Inside Enishi's mansion, Kenshin encounters Wu Heishin and his guards, while Seta Sojiro appears, showing that he has moved on from the past and is willing to help. Sojiro's presence gives Kenshin new resolve to press forward toward Enishi. The stage is set for a final, fateful confrontation.

Final Duel

In the mansion's climactic duel, Kenshin and Enishi face off with restrained fury. Kenshin deliberately allows Enishi to stab him, seeking closure for Tomoe's death. Heishin shoots Kenshin, but Kaoru intervenes; Enishi protects Kaoru by taking the bullet and defeats Heishin. Kenshin steps in after the chaos and thanks Enishi for protecting Kaoru.

After the confrontation, Enishi is arrested and Kaoru sends Tomoe's diary to him. Reading it triggers a breakdown as he finally understands Tomoe's final resolve: to stop Kenshin from killing at the cost of her life. The moral weight of his sister's choice reshapes his path moving forward.
