Naren Rajiv Kapoor is the son of Jeeva Sahay Kulbhushan Kharbanda, a wealthy politician in Calcutta. There he encounters a striking young woman, Ganga Singh Mandakini, who lives nearby with her brother, Karam Singh Tom Alter.
