Nick Beam [Tim Robbins], a successful advertising executive, believes his life is perfectly in order until he returns home and suspects his wife Ann Beam [Kelly Preston] is involved with another man. A pair of cufflinks belonging to his boss, Phillip “P.B.” Barrow [Michael McKean], surface as a damning clue, driving Nick to the edge of a nervous breakdown.
