A crash into a mound of dirt injures Ed’s shoulder, threatening his chance to compete. Yet the potential payoff is too tempting to ignore: Ed agrees to let Edda take his place in the race, on the understanding that she will share half of any winnings to help pay off the park’s debts. To make it work, Ed disguises Edda as a superfan who has won a contest to accompany him to the Grand Prix.

In Paris, the two race together through a tense, two-way dialogue transmitted by a discreet earpiece. Edda takes the wheel, guided by Ed’s instructions as she navigates a course full of cunning opponents and sneaky sabotage. An unknown rival drips grease onto her wheels, causing a dangerous spin that she narrowly survives, finishing the leg of the race in 30th place and just above elimination. Ed remains skeptical of Edda’s talents, suspecting that she lacks the experience to compete at this level, a doubt that gnaws at him as the event unfolds.

The second race, set high in the Alps, brings a new wave of obstacles—flying snowballs and shifting winds—yet Edda keeps her nerve and crosses the finish line in 10th place. She grows certain that Nachtkraab, a menacing crow racer, is behind the sabotage, but Ed’s faith in her wavers. By the time the third race moves to Italy, Edda is in the mix for a podium spot alongside Nachtkraab and Magnus, a friendly bear racer. A blast of wind from the course knocks her off temporarily and ruins a possible victory, leaving her more determined than ever to uncover the truth.

Her suspicions lead her to scrutinize Nachtkraab’s car, but a subsequent misstep earns her a one-minute penalty for starting late in the final race. As Ed regains his strength from injury, he makes the decision to fire Edda, believing the risk is too great. Undeterred, Edda uncovers the real saboteur: Magnus, who harbors resentment at always finishing second and has built a fleet of magnetic drones designed to disrupt the final London race. With the help of Böckli, a seasoned racer who knows Ed from his past, she pieces together a larger scheme of deception that extends beyond a single race.

Determined to warn Ed, Edda races against time as the final showdown approaches. The drones begin to intrude into the sewers and threaten to derail the competition. Edda manages to disable one drone that threatens Ed’s car, allowing him to claw back into contention. She then directs most of the remaining drones away from the field, giving Ed a clear path to overtake the other cars and seize the lead. Magnus, furious at being exposed, escalates his sabotage by causing an underground train to levitate toward the racers, driving a sense of imminent disaster.

As the finish line nears, Ed spots Edda being pursued and makes a selfless choice to save her rather than win the race. He turns his car around, guts the dangerous terrain, and lands it atop the speeding train just in time to prevent a catastrophe and protect the crowd. Magnus is declared the winner of the race, but his plan is unravelled, and he is taken away by the police. Nachtkraab, who finishes second, passes the trophy to Edda, recognizing the courage and skill she displayed while substituting for Ed. In a heartfelt coda, Edda’s father uses the prize money to settle the family’s debts, and Edda forges a racing partnership with Ed and Böckli, sealing a future built on teamwork, trust, and a shared love of speed.
