Dahlia enters Chronos' dream

In a desolate, lunar landscape, Dahlia drifts toward the solitary Chronos statue and slips into a dream. She becomes a dancer moving through ink-dark night, her dress catching glints of light as she circles the silent statue. She leans in to kiss Chronos, but the statue dissolves, leaving her feeling sad and lonely.

The dream rises to the spire

A chorus of odd, living sculptures and dandelion seeds draw Dahlia to dance up the tall spire beneath her feet. She climbs with a sense of wonder as the dream world folds around her. The ascent culminates in a moment of joy at the summit.

The eyeball swarm disrupts the ascent

At the summit, a swarm of green eyeball creatures interrupts the moment of joy. One eye-finger grazes Dahlia's dress, ripping it away and sending her tumbling toward a sea shell that falls from the spire. The shell lands in a satchel-like bouquet of green eyeballs held by a statue on an opposing structure, and Dahlia leaps from it to hop across floating, glowing telephones near Chronos’ statue.

Dahlia awakens to the shadow dress

Dahlia wakes to a shadow cast by a distant bell tower and studies it with curiosity, noticing how perfectly the silhouette mirrors a dress she could wear. She steps into the shadow, and as she moves, her form blends with it until she is bathed in a living dress. When she tilts her head upward, her silhouette blooms into a dandelion head, seeds drifting on the wind.

Chronos breaks free from stone

The Chronos statue lumbers forward, and the bird carved on its chest breaks free to take to the air. Dahlia dances on, seemingly unaware of the growing tension around her as darkness gathers. A clock beside Chronos glows with liquid light, trying to restrain the statue, yet Chronos finds a way to escape from the stone.

Ants become mustachioed bicycle riders

From Chronos's hand, ants emerge in a curious metamorphosis into mustachioed men riding bicycles with bread perched on their heads. The surreal procession ripples across the landscape, echoing the dream's logic. Dahlia watches the strange parade as the world shifts between dream and waking.

Dahlia and Dahlia's seed rekindle their bond

Chronos surveys the landscape; a dandelion seed floats away and transforms back into Dahlia, reigniting a shared spark between the two lovers. They spot one another, yet a vast structure rises between them, wedging itself and severing their connection. The moment marks the first barrier that neither can quite breach.

Dahlia opens a labyrinth with birds

Dahlia unleashes a flock of birds that sail into a labyrinth, guiding Chronos toward an exit where she greets him with a bow. The birds help chart a path through the maze as the tension between them grows. Chronos follows the birds toward the opening where Dahlia awaits.

Chronos dons baseball gear and the dancing figure

When Chronos leaves the maze, he dons baseball attire, yet he cannot locate Dahlia. Instead, two tortoises with stretched faces perch atop them and conjure a dancing woman whose head becomes a ball. Chronos strikes it with a baseball bat, sending the ball toward a catcher's mitt that morphs into a giant cloth heart. He presses the heart against Dahlia, but it is swallowed by his own body where his heart resides.

The heart swallowed reveals their unity

The scene culminates as the cloth heart is swallowed by Chronos and his own heart remains inside him. The final image lingers on the Chronos statue, now with a hole where the bird sat; a direct line to the bell tower reveals that Dahlia and Chronos have become one. The lovers' unity hints that their boundary-crossing bond has bridged stone, seed, and shell.
