In a desolate, almost lunar landscape, a naked Dahlia drifts toward a solitary statue of Chronos and slips into a dream that feels strangely tangible. The dream casts her as a dancer moving through ink-dark night, her dress tracing glints of light as she circles the stoic Chronos. She leans in to kiss him, but the statue dissolves into nothing, leaving her feeling both sad and lonely—until a chorus of odd, almost living sculptures and dandelion seeds floating on the wind draws her to dance up the tall spire beneath her feet. At the summit, the moment of joy is interrupted by a swarm of green eyeball creatures; one with a finger sticking out of its eye grazes her dress, ripping it away and sending Dahlia tumbling back toward a sea shell that falls from the spire. The shell lands in a satchel-like bouquet of green eyeballs clutched by a statue on an opposing structure. Leap by leap, Dahlia springs from the shell and begins hopping across a cluster of floating, glowing telephones near Chronos’ statue.
Dahlia wakes to a shadow cast by a distant bell tower and studies it with curiosity, noticing how perfectly the silhouette mirrors a dress she could wear. She steps into that shadow, and as she moves, her own form blends with it until she is bathed in a fresh, living dress. When she tilts her head upward, her silhouette blooms into a dandelion head, seeds drifting on the wind. The Chronos statue lumbers forward, and the bird carved on its chest breaks free to take to the air. Dahlia dances on, seemingly unaware of the growing tension around her as darkness gathers. A clock beside Chronos begins to glow with liquid light, trying to restrain the statue, yet Chronos finds a way to escape from the stone. From his hand, ants emerge in a curious metamorphosis, turning into mustachioed men riding bicycles with bread perched on their heads.
As Chronos surveys the landscape, a dandelion seed floats away and transforms back into Dahlia, reigniting a shared spark between the two. They spot one another, yet a vast structure rises and wedges itself between them, severing their connection. Dahlia unleashes a flock of birds that sail into a labyrinth, guiding Chronos toward an exit where she greets him with a bow. When Chronos leaves the maze, he dons baseball attire, though he cannot locate Dahlia anywhere. Instead, two tortoises with stretched faces perch atop them, and they conjure a dancing woman whose head becomes a ball. Chronos strikes it with a baseball bat, sending it into a catcher’s mitt that morphs into a giant cloth heart. He presses this heart against Dahlia, only for it to be swallowed by his own body where his heart resides.
The final image lingers on the Chronos statue, now with a hole where the bird once sat. A direct line through to the other side reveals the bell tower Dahlia admired, hinting that the two lovers have indeed become one.
