Inside the courtroom, Calabria's lawyer tries to kill Marcia, but Boogie shoots him instead, thwarting the attempt. In response, Sonny summons a massive force of hit-men who infiltrate the scene, forcing Boogie into a violent counterattack. Marcia embraces violence and Calabria falls

Marcia, previously reluctant to Boogie's violence, takes up two of his guns and starts killing as well. She ends up killing Calabria, the man who left her, turning the tables on the romance and violence.

Boogie falls in love with Marcia anew

Boogie watches Marcia covered in blood, armed and victorious, and falls in love with her. The scene cements a twisted bond between them, as both are changed forever by the night.

Three months later: Marcia's journal

Three months after the events, Marcia writes in a journal that she knows nothing of Boogie since, wondering if perhaps the violence was for the best. She imagines Boogie in a war zone doing what he does best. The entry is reflective and unresolved.
