Pablo Tell Schreiber, born on April 26, 1978, is a Canadian-American actor best known for his stage work and various crucial roles in highly acclaimed series and movies. He has given remarkable performances in series like The Wire (2003, 2008), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2013–2014), American Gods (2017–2020), and Orange Is the New Black (2013–2017) for which he received a Primetime Emmy nomination. He currently stars as Master Chief in the Paramount+ live-action series Halo (2022–2024). In addition to TV series, Schreiber has starred in movies including Bubble Boy (2001), The Manchurian Candidate (2004), Lords of Dogtown (2005), Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008), Nights in Rodanthe (2008), Allegiance (2012), Preservation (2014), and 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi (2016). In 2018, he starred in Den of Thieves with Gerard Butler and Skyscraper with Dwayne Johnson.

Born in a hippie commune in Ymir, British Columbia, Schreiber spent a part of his childhood in the rural community of Winlaw, alongside his half-brother, actor Liev Schreiber. Named after the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda by his literature-enthusiast father, he moved to Seattle with his father after his parents' separation. Enrolling at the University of San Francisco and later transferring to Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, he graduated in 2000 with a theatre degree. His success extended to the stage, earning him a Tony nomination for his performance in Awake and Sing! (2006) on Broadway and winning the 2009 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play for his role in reasons to be pretty. He also narrated the audiobook of Brett Easton Ellis’ American Psycho. In his personal life, Schreiber was married to yoga teacher Jessica Monty from 2007 to 2014, and has two sons.
